Tabletop Room Host

Responsibilities: Hosts serve as shift leads for the tabletop game room. In addition to serving as a monitor when necessary, the host greets entrants to the Tabletop Room, facilitates demos and ad-hoc organized play as necessary to promote energy and fun in the game room, and circulates and engages with players and moderators to take the tenor of the room. Other tasks as needed by the tabletop area head or the division staff. Escalates any issues to the Video Game Room Area Head and/or Division Head on duty. Shifts are available 24/4 in two- or four-hour blocks. Being able to commit to more shifts is desirable, especially premium shifts like overnight, early morning, or Saturday night, and we will do our best to schedule you with an eye toward your comfort and health.

This is a position for people 18 years of age or older.

Tabletop Host is expected to be moving around during their shift, keeping an eye on the room, and helping attendees that may need assistance.

Customer service skills and tabletop game knowledge a plus.

Many shifts available. Overnight hours for this position count as double hours.
