Dance Area Head

The Dance AH organizes Arisia’s Dance programming. This includes both dance instruction sessions and open dancing. The AH recruits session leaders who propose and then run their own dance sessions.

Dead Dog Party Staff

1-2 people are needed to run the Arisia Dead Dog Party, the end-of-con gathering for volunteers and attendees.

Hours starting at approximately 4pm and going to 11pm Monday of the convention.

Requirements: Reset room after Green Room vacates area, order pizza, set out snacks, and cleanup when finished.

Act as the single point of contact for several events, attend each of your Events, fix any problems encountered

The Event Liaison Lead manages the Event Liaisons (ELs). The role is a mostly pre-con recruiting and oversight role.

Food Division Volunteers

Requirements: Replenishing food, cleaning tables and keeping food areas clean, and friendly assistance as needed. 

Areas Available: Con Suite(attendee interface), Green Room(presenter interface), Staff Den(staff interface).

Multiple 2 hour shifts available.

Early morning (7am) and late shifts available.

Food Setup/Breakdown Staff

Requirements: Moving food between various areas of the convention, packing/unpacking and storing food stock. Lifting required for some tasks.

Food Shift Leads

The Arisia Food Division has several openings for Shift Leads in various areas (Con Suite, Green Room, Staff Den).

Requirements: Directing 2-3 volunteers in stocking food areas and keeping areas clean.

Friendly demeanor a plus.

Hours: 2 hours shifts. Morning (7am) and late evening shifts available.

General Tech Staff

Responsibilities: Arisia Tech supports the panels, performances, presentations, and media that make up the convention. We build theaters into ballrooms to create performance spaces; we provide sound reinforcement and projection for panels; we run sound, lights, cameras, and backstage work for Arisia events like the Masquerade; and we welcome new people to join us.

Green Room Plating Party Help

Have some time Friday before the con starts? Come hang out in Green Room and help us plate food. Core hours are Friday 1pm - 3pm but earlier and later hours are available.

No minimum time required. Snacks provided.

IRT General Staff

The Incident Response Team (IRT) at Arisia is the Area responsible for responding to incidents and situations at the convention that involve member behavior, especially in relation to violations of the convention’s Code of Conduct (CoC) policy.
